Happy 1st Anniversary to Us!

The Rotary Club of Naperville/Downtown celebrates its first full year of official existence, and recognizes fourteen Paul Harris Fellows.

Past President Gary Baumgartner demonstrates the proper way to roll up and store our brand-new Club banners as current President Stephanie Penick looks on.

Stephanie takes a closer look at our banner.

Pat Merryweather, Vice President of the Rotary Club of Naperville, updated our club on their Upendo Village, Kenya, project.

Nicki Scott, Vice President of the Rotary Club of Naperville/Sunrise, gave an overview of her club's educational project in Tikondane, Zambia.

The featured speaker was Naperville Sunrise Rotarian Rick Quackenbush (right), who recounted his recent trip to Nigeria as part of Rotary's PolioPlus Immunization Day.

District Gov Art Davis congratulated our Club on its first year, and went on to present fourteen new Paul Harris Fellowship Awards!

On Halloween, Club members got a treat by ascending to the top of Moser Tower.

The Millennium Carillon provides spectacular views of Naperville.

The tower is an impressive sight itself:

Visiting Rotarian Sean Daley has a copy of his book signed by author/humorist Conor Cunneen.

We are always glad to have Rotarians from other clubs visit us!

Ed Fey, Bev Eigenberg, Barb Dwyer, Allie DeBoer and Ken Dvorak are all smiles after

listening to Conor Cunneen tell the Club "Why Ireland Never Invaded America,"

the subject of his business advice book. Good advice was never so humorously delivered!

From left, Club Members Nick Ryan, Brian Fry, Erin Christianson, and Gary Baumgartner

admire the medal Erin received for running his first marathon.

Brian also completed the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon this year, despite the heat.

Congrats to both!
